Founder and General Manager
Kelly D. Conway, Founder and General Manager, brings to Strike Marketing 20-plus years in executive-level sales and marketing positions. As an agency principal based for the past six years in Silicon Valley, Kelly has developed and implemented business and marketing strategies for more than two dozen companies, including business and consumer software companies, Internet-centric retailers, entertainment companies, consumer electronics suppliers and retailers, and hardware manufacturers.
As creative director, Courtney brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the creative table for all clients ranging from local to international. Courtney has done work for multibillion dollar financial institutions, top of the line luxury brands, corporate real estate and investment companies along with a vast array of hospitality clients.
Her strong, diverse background in retail and marketing allows her to not only turn out strong creative, but give clients the tools they need to successfully reach their target market.
Courtney came to San Francisco from Atlanta where she worked in retail advertising as the Senior Art Director for 6 years with Adrenaline, Inc. Previous to that she worked in Ft Lauderdale for Zimmerman Advertising. She graduated magna cum laude from Auburn University with a B.F.A. in Graphic Design and a B.S. in Marketing.
Jen provides Strike Marketing with a new perspective on the marketing industry. She graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelors’ degree in Marketing and is currently working on her M.B.A. at the University of Central Florida. Jennifer has worked in the education system for 3 years while providing sales and marketing assistance to various companies since 2001. Her experiences in both industries, has brought Strike Marketing much success in creating, developing, and maintaining new programs and client relationships.
Vern is responsible for the creative direction of print design and production projects, internet-centric design elements and one-to-one merchandising programs. Vern has more than 30 years experience in advertising and creative services. Working up the career ladder in large New York agencies, Vern has gained a broad set of knowledge that is applicable across various business categories including retail, technology and service companies.
Web & Media Kahuna
Paul Matsuda has a multi-disciplinary background. His career in media arts began as a professional photographer in San Francisco. Working closely with Apple Computer’s Creative Services group, Paul created many of the images that helped shape Apple’s identity throughout the 1980′s and 1990′s. Other clients included Sun Microsystems, Cisco Systems, IBM, Motorola, Birkenstock and Revo. His creative problem solving and attention to detail resulted in his work receiving numerous awards.
Paul then refocused his energies to utilize his creative and business skills to work in new media. He joined Quokkasports, a web media company which produced “immersive” multimedia coverage of sporting events including the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. Working in Quokka’s Sponsor Fulfillment Program, Paul was responsible for creating interactive branding and messaging solutions for General Motors, Intel, General Electric, Qwest, Buick and Nokia.
Paul was then inspired from two diverse sources to form his company Modular Function. Combining the principals of Ikea’s modular approach to furniture, along with the theory “If you give a man a fish, he eats once. If you teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetieme”, Paul set out to build a system of self publishing web tools that would be affordable to the average small business owner and that could be easily deployed into almost any website.
Proof of concept was borne out as Paul was able to deploy and maintain the websites for over 80 Paul Mitchell Schools with a minimum of staff support normally needed to serve an organization of that size.
